As part of Patchway Festival's 25th Anniversary celebration on Sunday 22nd July, YTL Developments hosted a community event at the former Filton Airfield.
The festival brings together the local community, Patchway Town Council, Southern Brooks Community Partnerships and Patchway Churches.
The afternoon began with a blessing of the airfield by Reverend Howard Jameson of St Chads Church, Patchway, who was joined by Jack Lopresti MP, Father Eugene Campbell of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church and Rachael Hunt, chair of South Gloucestershire Council.
Following this, a community tea party and activities for children made for a successful day. One of the highlights was the wonderful Indian puppet show performed by 'Same but Different', which highlighted the importance of making people welcome in our communities.
Investing in the local community is important to YTL Developments and this event enabled the team to provide an overview of the proposed regeneration plans that will breathe life back into this part of Patchway.
We would like to thank all those that attended and made this a memorable day.
